My grandfather was from a really small town in western Virginia. Whenever we visited when I was little, I was amazed by how simple life could be. I commonly referred to it simply as "The Country."
Lately the honking cars, rude people, and never ending traffic have been driving me crazy. I want to run off to The Country and quietly sit on the porch drinking sweet tea, see some stars in the sky, and bake a pie.
one reason i love houston, as much of a city it is, it's the closest thing to the country you can get and still have the amenities of a big city
ReplyDeletecome visit, float the river, in the country, with me :p
That sounds divine. I'm ready to move to Kansas, live on a farm, and spend my free time with chickens instead of people.
