I can NOT stop watching videos of Feist singing live. I've always loved her voice (how could you not?!), but these videos of a show she performed in Paris a few years ago are making me swoon.
Today is my parents' 30th wedding anniversary. Look how cute they were together! Thanks for being proof that it can last. Did you know that the traditional gift for the 30th anniversary is the pearl? (That's a hint, dad.)Congratulations mom and dad!
I have the most amazing jar of lavender honey from Fauchon, and it's been sitting in my cupboard waiting for something that would really make it shine. This recipe is exactly what I've been waiting for. Oh yes, my little lavender honey. We're going to get along quite well.
p.s.-- Lavender is by far my favorite thing to bake with. Ever.
Going through all of my goodies from Paris still fills me up with such magnificent warm fuzzies. Even the used metro tickets! Amazing trips have a way of changing you. Forever. In some of the best ways possible.
The last couple of weeks have been non stop. In the midst of my complete and utter exhaustion, I've gotta say, I feel more like myself than I have in a while.
Sometimes, change is good. It wakes you up; it makes you remember. I had totally forgotten how much fun I can be.
Please, tell me I am not the only one that cried big sloppy tears when Kurt sang this song for his dad? I lovelovelove this song, and man o man, it broke my heart.
I need to remember this, and repeat it to myself all day, everyday. It's so easy to forget how much you deserve when you want something so very very much. It's easy to put yourself to the side. So starting today, I'm going to remember that I deserve the very best.
