Shhhhh!

There is a beautiful (kinda...) batch of cinnamon rolls ready to go in the oven, made by moi, using the Pioneer Woman's recipe.

Upstairs, there is a happily sleeping boy that will wake up to coffee and freshly baked cinnamon rolls, with a healthy shmear of icing.

Yes, I am amazing.

International Red Cross

These print ads from The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are brilliant. What a great way to be reminded of your social responsibilities by a great organization.

I haven't been able to get into the clinic and do some volunteer hours in over a month, and I ache for it.

Go out. Volunteer. Be a better person.

The Magic School Bus

You may or may not know this about me, but I have a serious love for educational television. Growing up, I ran home to watch Bill Nye the Science Guy and The Magic School Bus. I'm a nerd, I know.

Anyway, for my birthday this year, my brother surprised me by burning the ENTIRE Magic School Bus (i.e. fav TV show EVER) series to DVD. It is such a perfect gift. It's great to watch 1.) when I need background noise, 2.) when I'm looking for something comforting and calming, and 3.) pretty much any other time, too.
